Creative Cake in a Mugs

Customize your own cozy indulgence with our cake in a mug mixes by adding your favourite jams, nuts, and choc chips.

Liquids

A general rule is that you can replace half or all the water in the regular recipe (2 tablespoons) with a different liquid - like juice, coffee or spirits.

Add-ins

Mix in about a tablespoon of choc chips, berries, chopped fresh or frozen fruit, sprinkles or nuts after adding the liquids.

Extras

For other extras like nutella or jam - add about a tablespoon in the centre after you’ve mixed the cake mix and liquid.

Lemon myrtle & macadamia

  • Customer Suzanne T suggests: add a tablespoon of chopped macadamias and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon myrtle. Serve with a dollop of cream and a chopped mango infused with lemon myrtle or chopped honey macadamia nuts.

  • For a decadent twist, spoon a dollop of cherry jam into a rich chocolate mud cake in a mug after mixing and just before cooking. (Please exercise caution as the jam may be extra hot after cooking.)

  • Enhance the crunch by stirring in a tablespoon of chopped hazelnuts into the mint chocolate mud cake in a mug before cooking.

  • To add a touch of sophistication, replace a tablespoon of water with a tablespoon of Kahlua in a coffee mud cake in a mug.
